   Mr. Matthews, I’d just like to wish you and yours a very Happy Holiday season. We’ve never met but I want you to know that through your tapes and books you have helped me to become a very high level player. Just watching some of your straight pool and one pocket matches is like taking a course.

   I wish you all the best with the new room and if I’m in the area I’ll stop in and introduce myself.

   Mr. Matthews just let me say that first off I love every aspect of your game and professionalism in the game. I am very happy to tellyou that I have been fortunate to link up with a person of interest in my quest to better myself in the game that you have given some personal lessons to. I am glad that youhave opened this Billiards hall near my home town (Saluda, S.C.) and hope that it brings a much needed billiards business back to the region. I beleive that you have meet my uncle Fred Scarbourgh. Well best wishes in your indevour and I would love to drop in to visit when I am in town and not out bidding the Nations Security.
