Hey Grady,
What’s the age limit on the Senior’s Tournament?
Thanks,
Mike
Must be over 50. I’m trying to get him to have a Super Senior, also. One would have to be over 65 for that one. What do you think?
Randi, I think 60 and over would be sufficient to suffice… Sounds like a great lineup, whatever y’all decide.
Doc
Randi,
I will be 51 in May. I have been wanting to check out Grady’s and this event may be my best bet. Thanks for holding these great events. I will try to make at least a couple of them this year.
Richard
Is the bank full rack or short rack?
Its short rack…9 Ball rack.
Hey Grady. how are ya ? I was curious to know how you were and to ask if you had any straight pool tournaments scheduled. You may not even remember me. I was at your home and also supported you at the qualifier in Annapolis Md.
Looking forward to your response
Norm
Grady says he may have a Straight Pool tournament in 2009. He added $25,000, $10,000, and another $10,000 to his three 14.1 events and the most players drawn was 43.
Hello again from sunny HOT Kuwait. Grady Are you going to be in town the first part of the month of July before the big event? I will be home to visit the parents and wife from here in the Desert and will be wanting to stop by for my first look at the hall and maybe some lessons on 1P. More than likely the week of the 4th of JULY.
Might even help youget some more cash to add to that bank roll of yours.
Grady says his bankroll looks like it’s been stepped on by an elephant.
By all means, stop by and see us. Email us at grady101@sc.rr.com to set up a specific date and time and number of hours you want. The rate chart, etc can be found at Grady’s website, www.gradymathews.com. Other than getting ready for the senior’s tournament, we have an open calendar for early July.
The information discrepancies between your web-presences and reality as far as entry fee information is concerned is just unbelievable. I looked, late last month, at attending the bank-pool this past weekend and decided that based upon total out of pocket expenses …
“Legends of Bank Pool…Entry fee: $125. Payout: $10,000 based on 70 players. Dates: Sept. 26, 27, & 28. Big tables, race to 5, double elimination.” …. that I would go elsewhere, but only as the entry $ was a little steep and kicked expenditures over the edge.
Then, but too late to drive the 5 hours and enter, at AZ Billiards, I noticed a splurb about 60 bucks entry including greens fee.
Then, with further checking, I found at : http://www.gradysbilliards.com/ , I noticed an entry (LAST UPDATE FEBRUARY 2008 ! ! ! ! ) saying $40 plus greens fees.
I am not complaining. I just wish to point out that this is not 1950 or 1960 or 1970 or, even, 1990 when word was closely held … this is an information age and conflicting information is going to cause confusion. A confused mark is going to go home early or not sail at all.
You’re not complaining? Actually, I think you are. We made the entry fee change in hopes of getting more people interested in the tournaments. The changes were made weeks ago and that information was sent to all the pool magazines and posted on several internet forums. I’m sorry you failed to see any of those prior to making your decision to stay home. The entry fee has also been changed for the other tournaments coming up the rest of this year. Please note. Oh, when all else fails, call the pool room. They know when, where, and how much.
Nice work! I’ll have to do a cross post on this one
Hey Grady –
I posted up some shot diagrams and your cool eyewitness account of a 1969 matchup between Jersey Red and Ronnie Allen on my blog. You can check it out at http://untoldstoriesbilliardshistory.blogspot.com/2009/08/jersey-red-in-1969-even-houdini-couldnt.html
Hope you’re doing well.
